Northern Cali Weekend Ride - Crossing Bays, Deltas and Lakes
Made with Bay Area & Sacramento Magna Riders in mind.

Ride Dates
October 7th & 8th, 2006

Basic Ride Description
A two day tour of the Delta, Rivers and Lakes in the Bay Area, Sac., Napa & Lake Counties

Day 1:We'll start out in the East Bay. Charge through the Delta, up the river to Sacramento to hook up with riders from there. Then we'll run cruise down to Wine Country for some lunch and libation. Heading north through sweeps and twisties, we'll overnight at Clearlake.

Day 2 will be a tour of the lake perimiter & a run through some nice mountain roads. We'll finish up for a late lunch at Cache Creek Indian Casino were we can eat, watch football or even gamble. We'll head back from there.

Proposed Routes and Roads


Day 1 Leg 1 - Through the Delta and Over The River Depart Dublin. We'll go east on 580. Exit Vassco rd. and head north. Go west on Camino Diablo which tuns into Marsh Creek Rd. Turn north on Deer Valley Rd. Merge onto Hwy 4 East. Hwy 4 becomes Hwy 160 North. Contiune up Hwy 160 though the Delta and Sacramento River. At Hwy 160 near Freeport switch to S River Rd. Follow S. River Rd to Jefferson. Follow Jefferson to the Sacramento Meetup Point. Miles: 106 Est. Hours: 2.25		Large Map Street/Trips 06 File


Day 1 Leg 2 - No Politics, More Vineyards Deaprt Sacramento Meet Up Point. Proceed on Freeway 80/50 West. Merge unto Hwy 113 North. Exit onto westbound Covell Blvd. ontinue west through road name changes: CR-31; CR-93A; Russell Bld; Grant Ave - which finally becomes Hwy 128. Take 128 until Silverado Trail North. Then follow Pope St east bound into the lunch stop at St. Helena. The winery tour will be close by. Miles: 70 Est. Hours: 1.25		Large Map Street/Trips 06 File


Day 1 Leg 3 - Heading for the Hills Deaprt St. Helena. Go north on Hwy 128. Turn right on Pratt Ave and proceed until Silverado Trail where we'll turn north (left). Follow Silverado Trail until it meets up with Hwy 29 just north of Calistoga. Go north on Hwy 29 until Middletown where will switch to Hwy 175. Turn off onto Loch Lomond Rd. eastbound which turns into Siegler Canyon Rd. Go East on Hwy 29 (Lower Lake Road). Go north on Hwy 53 and ride it into Clearlake. Miles: 51 Est. Day 2 Leg 1 - Loop the Lake Depart Clearlake. South on Hwy 53. Go west on Hwy 29 (Lower Lake Rd). Turn right onto Point Lakeview Rd. Turn right onto Soda Bay Rd. Proceed until we reach Hwy 175 and go east. Turn right onto East Side Rd. Turn left onto Talmage Rd. Merge onto Hwy 101 North. Exit onto Hwy 20 East. Follow Hwy 20 until you turn right onto Hwy 16.
